We care about your health and your safety, as well as your enjoyment of skiing and participating in the event. Information related to the pandemic will be updated on a regular basis as the situation evolves.

      1. In the current context of COVID-19, is the event Les Beaux 4h still taking place?

        Yes. The formula of the event has been adapted in accordance with the physical distancing and health measures established by public health authorities. Do your own Beaux 4h. In February, Move. Donate. The new formula allows all Quebecers to take up the challenge and move on their own, with their family bubble, with colleagues or with friends for 4 hours at the location of their choice and at the time of their choice during the month of February 2021. However, those who register with friends or colleagues must do their activity each on their own and accumulate 4 hours of activity as a team.

      2. In case of cancellation, will I be reimbursed? 

        Yes. If the event is cancelled, participants' registration fees will automatically be refunded in full. It is also possible, if you wish, to convert your registration fees into a donation for the Fondation Martin-Matte and you will receive an official tax receipt. To do so, you must contact us at the following address: admin@fondationmartinmatte.com.

      3. If I register for the event and decide to no longer participate, what are my options?

        If, for any reason, you are no longer able to participate, you may choose from the following options:

          • Have another participant replace you;
          • Convert your registration fees into a donation for the Fondation Martin-Matte and receive an official tax receipt.

        You have until February 27, 2021 to notify us. To do so, you must contact us at the following address: admin@fondationmartinmatte.com. The Fondation Martin-Matte does not refund registration fees if the event takes place.

      4. What is the deadline to register?

        The deadline to register is February 28, 2021 at noon.

      5. In the event of cancellation, what will happen to the donations collected?

        No refunds will be given for donations. All donations collected will be donated to the Fondation Martin-Matte.

      6. As a participant, if I have not reached my goal of $250 ($100 for children) by the day of the event, can I take part anyway?

        Yes, you can still participate even if you haven't reached your personal goal. Donations will be counted at the end of the challenge on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 5:00 pm.

      7. Can we still participate in the challenge even if our team has fewer than four members?

        Yes. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have revised the format of the event. You can participate on your own, with your family bubble, colleagues or friends. However, to comply with the physical distancing and health measures established by public health authorities, those who register with friends or colleagues must do their activity each on their own and accumulate 4 hours of activity as a team. Maximum of 4 participants per team.

      8. Is it a relay marathon, or can I do the activity with my teammates?

        This is not a relay challenge. Participants on a given team can do their activity at the same time. However, to comply with the physical distancing and health measures established by public health authorities, those who register with friends or colleagues must do their activity each on their own and accumulate 4 hours of activity as a team.Your goal is to accumulate 4 hours of activity on your own or as a team and collect as many donations as you can.

      9. Does each participant have to do 4 hours of activity?

        No. Participants in the same team can compile the hours of activity done during the month of February 2021 (e.g. a family of 4 walking 1 hour = 4 hours).

      10. If I'm on my own, do I have to do 4 hours of activity on the same day?

        No. You can compile your hours of activity done during the month of February 2021 (e.g. 1 hour of skiing per day in 4 days = 4 hours).

      11. Can I do an indoor activity?

        You certainly can. The Fondation Martin-Matte encourages participants to do an outdoor activity, but if you are more comfortable doing your Beaux 4h indoors, that is fine too. The important thing is to move for 4 hours.

      12. Can I get a tax receipt for the registration fee?

        Registration fees are not eligible for tax purposes. When you register, you will only receive a transaction receipt.

      13. Do participants under the age of 18 have to reach a financial goal of $250?

        No. The personal financial goal for participants under the age of 18 is $100. Once registration is complete, the Fondation Martin-Matte team will adjust their objective.

      14. How do I register to volunteer on the day of the event?

        To add your name to the volunteer list, you must send an email with your contact information and availabilities to admin@fondationmartinmatte.com. A team member will contact you within the next few days following your request. As space is limited, your name will be put on a waiting list.
